Our first full day of vacation was full of relaxation, a bit of much-needed exercise and a nice little walk around Ybor City.
Ybor became official in the 1880s by cigar manufacturers and immigrants from Cuba, Spain, Italy and more than likely handfuls of other countries came to the area to roll millions of cigars annually.
Today the main drag still smells of cigar smoke and the block is heavily spotted with small little shops with big glassed windows showing single workers rolling away.
…oh…and lots of bars that apparently come to life at night. But we’re all too old to try that out and opted to head home and relax in the Jacuzzi on the back porch instead.
